Guy Asks A Police Officer If His Order Is Logical And This Is What He Says

In an evidently confusing pedestrian area where police have barricaded specific areas, one citizen defied an apparently illogical rule. When he confronted the police officer enforcing the rule, the cop said:

“Rules are rules. They don’t have to be logical; that’s why they’re laws.”

No doubt this is how most of law makers and law enforcement see law: It doesn’t matter if it makes sense, as long as it’s on the books, you must follow it. Law + gun = docile population. That’s their logic. If you don’t like it, you will be fined. If you don’t pay, we’ll throw you in jail. If you resist, you will be killed. And this is the cold hard reality of the presumed governmental authority. Like it or not, death is the ultimate result of disobeying the powers that be. Without that chain of threat, they are impotent; with it, they are extremely dangerous. Shouldn’t we base that monopoly of force on logic, not some arbitrary whim of the law makers and enforcers?

The citizen in the video is released without punishment, but the threat was placed: we have the power and you don’t. It doesn’t matter if if makes sense. You will obey.
