FEMA Confiscating Donations and Blocking Volunteers in Hurricane Helene Disaster Area
FEMA whistleblowers have come forward alleging that the agency misappropriated funds in the wake of Helene, withheld pre-disaster aid, and that first responders and service members have been waiting in hotels without deployment orders.
FEMA too busy at the border to help in North Carolina:
People were crying telling me that they watched a women and her 3 children be washed away in the flood and they cried the entire night because they couldn’t help them. Another man told me that his son is a paramedic and one of the bodies he found was his best friend. I hugged them and cried. Some of these people have no access to the road. Their driveways are completely washed out. Their yards are full of downed trees and boulders. They have no power, no food, and no signal to even ask for help. And to hear that the government is confiscating pallets of supplies from these small mountain towns because they aren’t “FEMA approved” made me more angry than words can describe. I heard it from MULTIPLE people in multiple areas. I will continue to bring supplies and money to people until I run out of both. This is making me sick to my stomach. I can’t stop from tearing up thinking about what I saw and heard today.
