Free Scotland
Scottish independence (Scots: Scots unthirldom,[1] Scottish Gaelic: Neo-eisimeileachd na h-Alba) is a political aim of some political parties, advocacy groups, and individuals in Scotland (which is a country of the United Kingdom) for the country to become an independent sovereign state.
A national referendum is scheduled to be held in Scotland on 18 September 2014. Voters will be asked to answer either Yes or No to the question: “Should Scotland be an independent country?”[2] During the week prior to the election, polls showed a minimal difference between the two referendum sides, with heated debates underway about the consequences of a “yes” vote for Scotland’s economy, its finances, its money, and its relations with the European Union.
