FEMA Doesn’t Have Enough Funds for Hurricane Relief Because They Spent Everything on Illegal Immigrants

The Federal Emergency Management Agency does not have enough funding to ride out the remainder of the hurricane season, Alejandro N. Mayorkas, the homeland security secretary, said on Wednesday.

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas said. “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”

Early in 2024, The Department of Homeland Security announced it was funding FEMA’s “Shelter and Service” program to pay for the foreign invasion of the United States of America:

Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), announced the allocation of over $380 million through the Shelter and Services Program (SSP). Through the SSP, DHS directly supports communities that are providing critical support such as food, shelter, clothing, acute medical care, and transportation to noncitizens recently released from DHS custody and awaiting their immigration court proceedings.

They touted “DHS continues to provide unprecedented resources to support border & interior communities.”

That $380 million was on top of the $650 million base funds appropriated for the invasion making the grand total $1.04 billion.
