American Gulag: January 6 Political Prisoners Speak Out

The United States is rapidly descending into a third-world banana republic dictatorship with a full on American Gestapo in the FBI and now an American Gulag in the federal prison holding political prisoners.

This is a summary of the abuse of these prisoners from the inside (prisoner Nathan DeGrave):

  • For the first four months, 23-24 hours a day solitary confinement.
  • Arbitrary, capricious, and constant punishment for minor, random infractions.
  • Even in solitary, being required to wear masks constantly, with any deviation the subject of a disciplinary report
  • Confiscation of privileged, legal documents as well as chronic and significant interference with the attorney-client relationship. Note that this is one of the most privileged relationships under American law.
  • Medical neglect, including refusing treatment for Christopher Worrell, who has both cancer and a broken hand. (Finally, two weeks ago, federal judge Royce Lamberth filed contempt charges against the prison warden for this one.)
  • Health hazards include overflowing raw sewage, mold, and dirty water.
  • Malnutrition from inedible and marginal food.
  • Denial of access to personal hygiene.
  • Minimal visits, including preventing access to attorneys unless the latter are both vaccinated and tested. (This may explain why the January 6 defendants seem to have been getting such abysmal legal representation.)
  • Denial of access to religious services, classes, and activities, all of which are available to non-political prisoners. When Ryan Samsel attempted to organize a Bible study group, correctional officers (mostly leftists from Africa) beat him and left him for dead. He permanently lost vision in one eye and suffered brain damage.
  • As the only White Republicans in the jail, the men are subject to a constant barrage of racial abuse.

Recently, more evidence of prisoner abuse is being reported by The Epoch Times, which has documented accounts of abuse of the January 6 political prisoners:

It began without warning. A Jan. 6 prisoner had emerged from his cell without a mask. When it was all over, the jail was in lockdown and several inmates had been pepper sprayed, handcuffed, and thrown into solitary confinement. Inmate tablets were quickly confiscated, but not before several prisoners had time to send text messages, exposing the brutal truth of what happened.

The prisoner’s name is Ronald Colton McAbee. His wife, Sarah, described to The Epoch Times what happened.

McAbee had just been let out of his cell by a pod officer in order to receive his medications. Inmates, Sarah explained, have to take their meds in front of the nurse to prove they swallowed the pills. The med cart was about 25 feet from the door of McAbee’s cell. When he walked out of the cell to go get his meds, he was not wearing his mask. Lieutenant Crystal Lancaster began yelling at him and ordering him to put his mask on. He said he was going to get his medication and didn’t need his mask. It was after McAbee had taken his medication it is alleged that Lancaster doused his face with OC spray.

This is a national disgrace and needs to end.
